Consistency Rules
Maven FT applies a specific consistency rule for Instant Funding accounts.
- Instant accounts must maintain a 20% consistency score — no single trading day’s profit can be more than 20% of total profit.
- Withdrawals from Instant accounts are only allowed when the consistency score is 20% or lower.
Core Firm Rules
IP / Location Rule
- IP region for your challenge and funded accounts should match.
- If you change region, Maven may ask for proof (for example flight tickets or live location verification).
Gambling & High-Risk Behaviours
Maven classifies several behaviours as gambling and does not allow them.
- Excessive Scalping: More than 50% of your trades closed in under 1 minute.
- Martingale: Opening multiple positions in drawdown on the same pair can be treated as martingale. They mention that opening around 5 simultaneous positions in drawdown is a red flag.
- All-in trading: Trading without stop-loss, or risking more than the total drawdown limit just to pass or fail a challenge in one shot.
- Gamifying: Running two accounts against each other (one long, one short) with the intent that at least one passes.
Maven treats a “trade idea” as one or more positions in the same pair taken with similar size and timing. Random tiny entries just to game the rules can still be flagged and disqualified.
News Trading
- For challenge and evaluation accounts, you cannot open or close trades within 2 minutes before or after a high-impact (red folder) news event.
- Violations — including automatic closure (TP/SL) inside the restricted window — can invalidate the evaluation or funded account, and news profits may be removed.
- Instant funding accounts are exempt from the news restriction.
Withdrawal Limit & Payout Behavior
- Global cap of $10,000 per 30-day payout cycle across all accounts.
- Profits above this cap are voided and the account is reset back to starting balance after payout.
- The 30-day window starts from the date when you first close a profitable trade.
- Once total payouts exceed $5,000, no single trade or “trading day” (measured from one trade to the next, not calendar) may represent more than 50% of total profit — any excess gets trimmed down to respect this limit.
- After crossing $5,000 in payouts, a mandatory risk interview with an analyst is required. One reschedule is allowed; missing the rebooked slot can lead to the payout being withheld.
- Random interviews may also be requested below $5,000, and after each payout the account resets to its initial balance.
Risk Limit (Specific Traders)
Maven may apply individual risk limits to traders who show poor risk management. If you receive such an email, breaching those limits will cause an account violation. If you are not notified, you may trade within the default rules.
Buyback & Expert Advisors
- Buyback: You can instantly restore a funded account via a paid buyback, no new challenge needed.
- EAs: Expert Advisors are not allowed on any platform, in any program.
Minimum Trading Days (2-Step)
- 2-Step challenge has a minimum of 3 trading days with at least 0.5% profit before you can pass to the next phase.
- This minimum-trading-days requirement also applies in the funded stage.
Instant Funding Program Rules
- Withdrawals allowed only when consistency score is 20% or below.
- Consistency Score = (Biggest winning day ÷ Total profit) × 100%.
- Minimum profit required before requesting a payout: 3% of account (unless otherwise specified by plan).
- Floating drawdown limit: At no time can floating loss exceed 1% of account (difference between balance and equity). More than this breaches the account.
- Daily loss limit: Maximum 2% based on the higher of balance or equity. Hitting -2% in a day breaches the account.
- Max trailing loss: 3% of account for the Instant program.
Maven Mini Rules
- Minimum profit to withdraw: 3%.
- Payout can be requested immediately after hitting 3% — no waiting period.
- Only one payout per Maven Mini account; after the payout the account is closed.
- At any given time, you can have a maximum of 1 open trade.
- Floating loss must never exceed 1% of account — breaching this violates the account.
- Withdrawals allowed only when consistency score is 20% or less.
- Consistency Score = (Largest winning trade ÷ Total profit) × 100%.
- Max trailing loss is limited to 3%.
Payout Policy
Maven FT offers consistent payout terms across most programs, with a higher split on Maven Mini.
| Program | Payout Structure |
|---|---|
| 1-Step, 2-Step, 3-Step & Instant | 80% profit split | Payouts every 10 business days |
| Maven Mini | 80% profit split | Immediate withdrawal after 3% profit (one-time payout) |

Additional Information
Maven FT focuses heavily on consistency and disciplined risk — especially in its Instant and Maven Mini programs. Before joining, make sure your trading style naturally respects floating drawdown & daily loss limits, since those rules are strict and closely monitored.
Use this overview as a quick reference when comparing Maven FT with other prop firms, especially if you are deciding between Instant funding versus classic multi-step evaluations.
